J Please address any reply to THE UNDER - SECRETARY OF STATE ( Ord 1 ) and quote : Ord 1 / BR / 1320 / 1 Your reference : Memorandum for : Corps Secretary Presentation to RAOC At a recent meeting the Portsmouth City Council agreed to present the RAOC with a reciproval gift of silver to commemorate the 40 years association . Editor RAOC Gazette . THE WAR OFFICE Northumberland House , Northumberland Avenue , London W.C.2 The gift will be a solid silver twin cigarette box suitably inscribed together with the insignia of the Corps and of Portsmouth . The inscription will be : Curator RAOC Museum Telephone : Whitehall 9400 , ext . 1066 .It . 1921 - 1961 Presented to the Royal Army Ordnance Corps in recognition of the Corps long and happy association with Portsmouth and its citizens . wor The DOS will receive the gift from the Lord Mayor on behalf of the Corps at a ceremony to be held at the Guildhall , Portsmouth on 12th March , 1963.
