Major-General G. O. Crawford, and Brigadier J. C. Murphy visited CAD Bramley on the 20th April and, after a tour of the Depot, School of Ammunition and ARMDU, presented medals to some of our civilian employees. Before the presentation the General gave the assembled audience a brief history cf the British Empire Medal and the Imperial Service Medal. He also commented on the fact that since 1951 a total of one hundred and forty-eight ISM's have been awarded to the employees of this Depot, a record of which any installation can be proud.The following received awards after the reading of the citations giving details of each recipients service: Mr. R. E. Shrive, Foreman AE, both BEM and ISM, over 39 years service: Mr. G. Brooks, ISM, Group Office Assistant, over 26 years service; Mr. C. J. Gibbons, ISM, Stores Foreman, over 39 years service: Mr. R. G. Paul, ISM. AE, over 35 years service; Mr. F. W. Carr, ISM, Timekeeper, over 35 years service; and Mr. A. Steel, ISM, Checker, over 38 years service.
