The Berlin ADPI was officially opened by the GOC Berlin, Major General Scott-Barrett, on 16th September 1975. This was an important landmark in the history of Ordnance Services and was suitably marked by the unveiling of a plaque at the entrance. The occasion was attended by a selection of important visitors, including the Civil Secretary in BAOR
