Believed to be the presentation of a cheque for the childrens wing of Southampton Hospital. Report appears in the RCT Journal: Members of the squadron put in a major effort to raise money for Southampton Hospital childrens ward. The events began with a sponsored walk, followed on 29 September by an auction and horse racing in the junior ranks club and a disco in the evening. The proceeds are still being counted but a sum in excess of £1,100 will be donated to the ward.
