ANY Ammunition Technician who has been employed as an
operator in charge of render safe procedures for suspect IEDs
in Northern Ireland is entitled to wear the Operators Felix
Tie, These ties can be purchased from the Admin Officer 321
EOD Unit BFPO 825 at a cost of £3 each plus postage.
Applications should include the dates and location the person
served at in the Province.

A VACANCY will exist Mid 1978 for the position of Chief
Steward 1 for the above Officers Mess. The person will be
responsible for the day to day running of the Mess, super-
vision of the staff and control of Mess stocks. Further details
may be obtained from the PMC. Wage will be £39,40 (plus
pay supplements one and two and productivity bonus—approx
£50 per week). There will also be relative weekend enhance-
ments for shift hours worked. Accommodation could be
arranged.
