TROPHY
THE Trophy, first presented to Wulfen Station in l%4 by Major
P. G. Macdonald, then OC 154 Forward Ammunition Depot
was re-presented by Brigadier P. G. Macdonald DDOS 1 (BR)
Corps on 30th September 1977 (reported in the December
GA/ETTI;). It had been returned lo the donor by the Central
Ammunition Depot, B ram ley on the disbandmem of that unit.
The trophy will now be competed for annually by units in
Wulfen Station.

the Employment Training School, demonstrated his butchery

musically along by our new disco discovery Corporal R, M.
Ballantyne ACC, with the solid support of the mess staff firing
on all cylinders ' backstage/
A TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY MILE
WELSH PATH PROPOSED
INITIAL proposals by the Countryside Commission for a
two hundred and sixty mile footpath, or so-called Cambrian
Way between Cardiff and Conway, North Wales were announced
recently.
Local authorities, land-owners, amenity groups and other
interests are being consulted about the suggested route, via
Abergavenny, the Black Mountains, Llandovery, the Cambrian
Mountains, Machynlleth, Ffestiniog, and parts of Snowdonia.
BRAMLEY
154 FAD win the Macdonald Trophy at Wulfen.
The Trophy is pictured here being presented to Lieutenant
Colonel D, F. E. Botting, Station Commander Wulfen Station
by CSM B. A, Hosband, on the occasion of a shoulder to
shoulder match between teams from 7 Guided Missile Company,
CVC Recklinghausen and 154 FAD, The competition was run
on the day of the re-opening of the rebuilt miniature range
in Wulfen. The 154 FAD team won the competition, beating
7 Guided Missile Company by five points.
AULD YEAR'S NIGHT
BETTER LATE T H A N NEVER
THE Apprentices College was again responsible for organising
a Training Centre farewell function to 1977. For those un-
aware
of the best of Scottish traditions the event is known as
l
Auld Year's Night' and it was held in the Headquarters RAOC
Officers' Mess amid a flurry of tartan and a flowing of whisky.
The 6th Queen Elizabeth's Own Gurkha Rifles were kind enough
to make available two skilful and well turned out Pipers who
THE sadness of the run down of CAD Bramley is well reflected
in the Bramley newsletter, written by Colonel R, V. Peters
(Retd), himself something of an institution in the Corps and the
ammunition world. The letter contains news of the closure of
the Mess and of the deconsecration of St Barbara's Church.
It also prompts me to publish on page 311 an article by
Major R. G. Emmett about St Barbara's written not so very
long ago but, due to shortage of space* never yet published.

GERMANY
MAJOR G. MACDONALD, Officer Commanding Regimental
Wing at 15 Composite Ordnance Depot, Viersen, continues to
represent the Corps in the Judo world. He has just returned
from representing Great Britain at the European Judo Union
Referees' Congress in Rome and he is regularly officiating with
the German Judo Federation. Recently he has refereed the
West Germany versus Hungary and West Germany versus
Switzerland events.

The following from Bicester have also successfully com-
pleted the distance: Brigadier M. B. Page, Lieutenant Colonel
R, B. Bowden, Lieutenant Colonel R. N. Annan, Major P. St-
C Scriven, W02 M. Winskill.
Target time for 1978 is twenty seven minutes ten seconds
at the age of fifty two (increased or reduced by ten seconds for
each year).
Lieutenant Colonel A. J. Paviour (HQ DGOS) was the first
to qualify for the second time-meeting the new 1978 target
