THE 1977 RAOC Association Annual Reunion was heiJ on the
16th and I7th of April at CAD Kineton.
The pleasant location in the Warwickshire countryside, on
what proved to be a line week-end, was matched only by the
first class organisation and hospitality provided by the hosts.
The week-end started with a fairly expeditious Annual
General Meeting followed by the Annual Dinner, The Guest
of Honour this year was Mr Robin Fyffe, who served in the
Corps during and for a period after the war, and is now Head
of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the Home Office
College for the training of Fire Officers, at Moreton-m-Marsh.
Among many other distinguished appointments he is the Chair-
man of the Stratford-on-Avon District Council and a District
Representative on the West Midland TAVR Association.
The March Past, lead by the Staff
After dinner the venue changed to the Sergeants Mess and
though the gathering assembled at about 10 o'clock, a veil
must be cast over the time of the East man out!
The following morning, after a most interesting Lour of the
Depot, a Church Service was held in the smalt but attractive,
St. Georges Church during which a stained glass window from
the old NesclifTe Church was dedicated by the Chaplain General.
The salute at the March Past, was taken by the President
after which a very successful week-end was concluded by lunch.
Some two hundred and forty members attended, including
eight Major Generals, and I am sure that alt will wish to thank
the staff of Kineton -and particularly the WRAC who waited
at table—for making it such a memorable occasion,
Band, took place in fine
but blustery weather.
The President, Major General A, R, Cornock, talks to In-
Pensioners Sub-Conductor J, Thelwell and Sergeant W. NichoUs.
A party in the bar at lunch time on the second day,
A very happy table from Stirling at Dinner.
