ON the 12th May the Corps was honoured to receive Lieutenant
General G. L, Chopra, Director of Ordnance Services, India,
for a ten day visit as our guest, [n part this visit was planned
to reciprocate the hospitality extended to Major General Speller
by the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) during the then DOSs'
visit to India in 1975. By coincidence the visit of General
Chopra and his wife coincided with the annual I AOC Associa-
tion Dinner at Barker's Restaurant. So, after visiting Major
General Callan on 13th May T General Chopra and his wife at-

of Supply Management (Army) at Bicester, CAD Kineton, Head-
quarters RAOC Training Centre and the Director of Clothing
and Textiles culminating in the Officers Club Ball at Black-
down.
Following a weekend of recuperation during which time
the General and the DGOS played a round of golf (General
Callan has not been forthcoming about the outcome so we can
only surmise the result!), General Chopra departed for BAOR
where he spent three days visiting Headquarters BAOR, 15
Composite Ordnance Depot and 1 (BR) Corps.
Throughout the visit, two things were apparent: the energy
and sharp intellect of General Chopra and the common ground
which exists between the IAOC and the RAOC. Senior officers
and soldiers alike were amazed at the General's conversance with
