TRAVERS CLARKE—During the golfing year all RAOC Units
in the UK. compete in the Travers Clarke Knock-Out Match
Play championships. The semi-finals and finals of the cham-
pionship were played at Little Aston on 2nd September and the
final result was a win for Major Bob Dickenson and Major
Peter Cheesemore by one hole over Colonel Lawrie Lawrence
and Major Ron Rush. Our final photograph shows Major
Peter Cheesemore holding the Travers Clarke Trophy (second

* Monty' Montgomery who won the Bush Cups at the Autumn
Meeting, and once again, (far right) the Corps Captain—Major

Sergeant Paul Ladley toasts His trophy.
Certainly a year to remember. We go forward into the
1978 season hoping to retain all the trophies we currently hold
but also to win one which has eluded us so far. The Army
Golfing Society have an officers inter Regimental/Corps trophy,
quite inappropriately as far as we are concerned, called the Ord-
nance Cup—and we have never held it. ,

CORPS AUTUMN MEETING—The Autumn Meeting, a two-
day event, was held at High Post in September. It was a
most enjoyable affair, made all the more so by the presence of
vo apprentice soldiers from the College who got themselves
vvell into the prize list as you can see:
Deepcut Trophy (Scratch)
Major Dickenson
Jeans Cup (Stableford)
Captain Taylor
