MEMBERS of the Army Fire Brigade stationed at Bicester are
proving their love for water not only as a way of controlling
fires but as a means of collecting for charity in this the year of
the disabled. They have thought of the idea of a charity raft
race; Our photograph shows a team in practise.
The race takes place in the Thames and crews of four or
five have to paddle from Tol]y Bridge to Abingdon Lock. Life
jackets and support boat are being provided by 16 Battalion
RAOC.
Hook Norton Brewery has donated some ale and hopefully,
a full report will be in next month's issue.
