THE 1981 Officers Club Dinner will be held in the Headquarters RAOC Officers Mess. Deepcut, on Friday, 30th October, 1981. The seating capacity is two hundred and fifty. The dress is dinner jacket. Medals should not be worn. Drinks before and after dinner will be available for cash only and bars will be open from 19.00 hours. Officers should assemble at 19.15 hours for dinner at 19.45 hours. The cost will be £7. No tickets will be issued, Applications* together with overnight accommoda- tion bids, should be made to the RAOC Secretariat, Deepcut, in writing, and must be accompanied by a cheque made payable to the k RAOC Officers Club.' If Units or Messes prefer to submit bulk applications with a single cheque covering all their members attending, who must be listed, this is acceptable. Bids are required by 9th October and applicants should note that places will be allocated on the basis of first come first served. To ensure a fair distribution, applications for the advanced booking of tables cannot be accepted by tele- phone. Where whole or part bookings of tables are made, the application will be accepted as a firm book- ing only when accompanied by the total sum involved and the rank and name of every officer concerned. Tables seat ten persons. For the last two years transport has been provided on repayment to meet a suitable train from Waterloo at Brookwood and to return members to Brookwood to catch a train at approximately 23.20 hours. Little use has been made of this facility—last year one member used the minibus to come to the dinner and nobody went back to the station in it. Consequently, for 1981 transport will only be provided on repayment if sufficient members bid for this facility when applying for tickets. ARE YOU A MEMBER?
