ADVISORS
IFD BRANCH of the Army School of Ammunition visited
London recently where they were guests of London Weekend
Television. The Branch had assisted as technical advisors for
an episode of * The Professionals,' which is to be shown during
ihe autumn. Offers from Hollywood are now expected to flood in.
and a few days later, showing no signs of jet lag,
COO chats to Brigadier J . C. Starling and Staff Officers on Exercise
Andante Express in Italy.

THE game is on again I Delighted with the results of the last
mammoth lottery, SSAFA is repeating the immensely popular
'Three Car Draw' this year.
The Sponsors, Natocars of Bridgwater, will also supply
the prizes in conjunction with the Ford Motor Company. There
are three great cars to be won;—a Ford Escort Hatchback 1300,
a Ford Escort Hatchback 1100 and a Ford Fiesta Popular.

THE RAOC Prize for Regular Careers Course 24 has been
awarded to Second Lieutenant Andrew Hirst RAOC, who was
placed second in the overall Order of Merit for professional
studies out of a field of twenty nine.
Andrew Hirst was educated at Bridlington Grammar School
and Welbeck College where he was awarded the Shield of
Honour as the best in his intake. He has played rugby for
Welbeck, for the Academy and at county standard. He also
played cricket and basketball for the Academy and is a keen
sailor. During his last recess he obtained sponsorship to visit
Berlin where he saw Ordnance Services Berlin and took a
particular interest in their ADP facility.
On leaving Sandhurst he attended a Young Officers Course
before being posted to 1 (BR) Corps Combat Supplies Battalion.

THE LORD MAYOR'S PROCESSION
1981
AS many will know the next Lord Mayor of London,
Mr Alderman Christopher Leaver JP, was an RAOC
Officer* Because of this he has invited the Corps to
participate in his procession on 14th November 1981,
To mark the occasion a limited number of com-
memorative covers are being prepared. They are to be
available at the following prices:—(a) Signed copies
(limited to two hundred) £2. (Signed by Mr Alderman
Christopher Leaver and the DGOS). (b) Unsigned copies
(limited to four thousand eight hundred) £1.
