; ;irs of hard work and loyal service. Corporal Don Tutor and
indra have gone to Donnington and both wil! be greatly missed,
id Lance Corporal Tony Bromilow has gone to lose a few
>unds in Devizes. Now can anyone imagine Bromilow pulling
pulk in the frozen wastes of Norway next January?
Also leaving are two of the infamous v Dulmen Dollies,'
laggie Rumble and June Nickson. We shall definitely miss
Liu girls, especially the O C who is already getting worried
bout the future contents of his coffee cup.
Talking of happy, WOl Nanovo has at last joined us and
busy learning the duties of 3IC. He's already had ER 100
anded on his forehead so that he never loses sight of the fact

W u l f e n Station
f
THE unit has been a bustling hive of
activity during the last few weeks. Our
Annual Station Fete was a great success,
the champion fund raiser being W 2
Dennis Ahem with his MX bottle stall
The other main attractions were: The
band of the 1st Battalion The King's
Regiment, the local Concordia male voice
choir, Major Brian Mills, our ASO. on the
ducking stool, and of course the Refresh-
ment tent which was well supported by
he local populace. A lot of hard work was put in by the wives
nd soldiers of 154 and our neighbours from FVD Reckling-
ausen, and especially by your long standing fete managers,
-lajor Steve Goldring and WOl Dennis Falcus, both with three
uccessful Wulfen Fetes behind them. The money is going to a
ocal Crippled Childrens Home, and the British Limbless Ex
iervicemans Association.
Major General and Mrs Stanyer paid us a relaxed visit and
ifter a tour of Muna camp they joined the cricket team for
ea, and were able to witness the defeat of our near rivals
rom. Bracht. Recently we also hosted the UK. RAOC cricket
earn in a match against RAOC Rhine Area, which resulted in
in amicable draw.

Our new security NCO, Sergeant Kershaw, has descended.
on us from the Depot, via Rotterdam (he just wanted to see it!,
or so the story goes). Since arriving he has been deputizing
for our SSM, [ wonder who winds him up in the morning?
Sergeant Mick Shaw would like anyone who has found his
posting order to send it on as the suspense is proving too much
tor him.
New arrivals are: Sergeant Kershaw, Corporals Reeby and
Sanders and Private Kemp, we bid a temporary farewell to
WOl Dave Moore who is detached to Northern Ireland.

THIS months GAZETTE Notes come from G2 [nt
and Sy,
Corporal Ian Nelson is shortly saying (a fond)
farewell to this branch and goes to 8 Brigade in
Northern Ireland. His place will be taken by a
veteran (after only eight months) of the security
world, Lance Corporal Mike Robinson. Farewell,
Ian and all the best to you and your family.
We have also had in the branch a new trans-
feree, Sergeant Steve Mason (ex I King's), He has
been a great help to the branch arid will be greatly missed. He
will be going to Sandhurst, However, it looks as if he will
be under canvas for a while, due to the lack of quarters. Any-
way all the best to you and your family, Steve.
Private Bryan Baskerville has recently had his girlfriend
and his parents in Germany. This enabled him to live some of
the daydreams he has in the office.
Lance Corporal Mike Robinson is now engaged and is
getting married in October of this year.
Staff Sergeant Pete Preston the Chief Clerk is still fitness-
crazy and can be seen disappearing into the distance with the
S03 Irtt at dinner time. They both look decidedly healthy
after their systems have recovered from the shock.
W/Sergeant Carol Hardy has/is been/being replaced by
W/ Sergeant Carol Gill. Welcome to you and your husband,
Carol G. W/Sergeant Carol Hardy is still in a quandary over
where or when she is being posted. Bye bye Carol H, all the
best.
With Exercise Summer Sales dead ahead, everybody is
looking forward to the rest and dreading the return to trays
filled with the backlog.
Away from G2 Int and Sy we congratulate WOl John
Regan on his recent promotion and welcome Corporal Dave
Tydeman on posting from AFCENT, Lance Corporal Robert
Adams on transfer from Supply Clerk, Sergeant Dave Flin
on posting from Andover, Private * Johno ' Johnson from Depot
and Private Tim Pool from Headquarters NORTHAG.

HEADQUARTERS
MAJOR MIKE DALLEY dutifully kept
a watchful eye on the Headquarters RAOC
Balloon Stand at the annual Lubbecke
Fete, which, generally speaking turned out
to be a great success
compared 1 with last
k
year. His assistant Blows-Ups were the.
able-bodied Sergeant Mick Haverty and
H H ^ ^ ^ I H ^ ^ B
Corporal Brummy Thymic, who in turn
had the pleasant company and support of
their wives.
Major Jim Steele decided to drop in halfway through the
afternoon, with the RAOC's very own Cannonballs Parachute
team. This jump followed a very successful display by the
team, which dropped into the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
Two days after this event, Headquarters RAOC, less
Captain Mike Southworth and W 2 Bill Tonkins, moved out into
the field to join the two Ord Coys and the C Sups Coy on
Exercise Tron Band. During the next fortnight we were all
to see the results of Major Steele's hard work, supported by all
three SOs2 and the Adjutant, which went into the organisation
of a most enjoyable, if somewhat hectic exercise.
Back into the office, having had a few days peace and quiet
after the exercise, the morning hustle and bustle of the Tax
House workers was suddenly destroyed as that dreaded, siren
omitted its monotonous tone around the building. Within
minutes the building was completely cleared of all personnel, as
WOl Jim Prior gallantly led the Fire Fighting team through
the corridors of the building to where? That was anybodys
guess. Yes, it was only a fire practice but one of the many
sayings flying around the Divisional Headquarters at present is
" PRACTICE MAKES P E R F E C T ! " Does it? Well see.
AQ Branch welcomes a new personality in their midst, Staff
Sergeant Paul Byron. Headquarters RAOC have now welcomed
to the hot seat Captain Simon Hall, who assumes the appoint-
ment of Adjutant vice Captain Mike Southworth. Congratula-
tions are given to both Captain Mike and Mrs Terry Southworth
on the birth of their son James, whose arrival has been long
awaited by brother Nathaniel, and we wish them all the best for
the future at their new posting in And over,
