THE RAOC GAZETTE ADVERTISEMENTS Training and Consultancy Assignments in Supplies and Materials Management Overseas up to £14,000 The C r o w n Agents act as professional, commercial and financial agents for aver 3 government and public authorities in the developing countries of the w o r l d , as well as for the major international aid agencies. W e are particularly concerned w i t h p r o v i d i n g a comprehensive training and consultancy service and now have a need for panel staff in the t w o divisions. Both Divisions operate in the f i e l d o f Supplies and Materials Management covering financial aspects* procurement, inventory management, warehousing and distribution. T R A I N I N G SERVICES D I V I S I O N A substantia! part of the T r a i n i n g Service w o r k is in the design and execution of t r a i n i n g projects for public services and Government departments overseas. Each : project is treated as a separate e n t i t y w h c h means that terms and conditions vary according to the p r o j e c t , location, ar\d l e n g t h . Projects generally vary in length from 5 weeks to 1 year. SUPPLY A D V I S O R Y SERVICE The Supply Advisory Service provides advice and assistance including on the job t r a i n i n g in Developing Countries. Assignments range f r o m surveys of a f e w weeks to i m p l e m e n t a t i o n contracts of up to 2? years. Interested candidates must have at least 5 years materials management experience at senior level, be members of the IPS and preferably hold the D i p l o m a . It w o u l d be an added advantage for candidates to have membership of the I M H or the I n s t i t u t e of Transport. The job calls for a sound approach to p r o b l e m solving the i n t r o d u c t i o n of supply systems o f t e n under d i f f i c u l t conditions. For overseas assignments exceeding 12 months the fee is tax free w i t h a c c o m m o d a t i o n and transport provided. A l l such posts are accompanied status.
