THE LONG AND SHORT
THIS astonishing photograph
is not of a remnant from the
l
Western Desert or from It Ain't Half Hot Mum.' It is of Mr
Len Simms of Vehicle Branch DSM(A).
As a wave of apathy sweeps over our loyal readers in
response to this pearl, I can hear their cries of " why the long
shorts?" or even "short longs/' Simply this, Len organised his
own walk for charity and this amazing rig is his walking kit.
Happily he only walked about the office; the mighty roar of
Chilwell traffic was not stilled by stunned disbelief at this
apparition.
None the less, he collected the most useful sum of £6.21 for
the Leukemia charity. Well done Len and keep up the good
walk,
