THE EXPENSE IS DAUNTING
THE DGOS Advisory Committee on Dress has been quite dis-
turbed at the astonishing rise in prices of items of Officers dress
and is concerned that those buying uniforms for the first time
and those faced with replacement of worn items should be
aware of current variances in being. Consequently approved
Corps Hatters and Tailors have been asked to quote up to date
prices for a standard list of items, and will be so asked each
year. The current table of advised prices is shown here. ' You
pays your money and you makes your choice
* All prices
shown include VAT.
HASH
THE Wilton Hash House Harriers recently celebrated their one
hundredth run. Organised from the * Crown Inn ' at Everleigh
two hundred Hashers turned up to ' Seek out' the seven mile
course around the nearby Tidworth military training area. The
human hares had laid the trail of sawdust the day before.
Completing the course in some one and a half hours the
tired and thirsty hashers returned to the * Crown' for a well
earned shower supplied by the Bath Unit from Aldershot, a pint
courtesy of the landlord, and a pub lunch to mark the occasion.

Officers will wish to know that Bates of Jermyn Street
regret they are no longer able to supply us with hats. Further
that the Dress Committee has spent some time considering hats
made by the current Corps tailors and others. It is the view of
the Committee that the hats produced by Moss Bros are of the
most acceptable quality and therefore the Committee give their
endorsement to Moss Bros as the most approved Corps hatter.
Though cost was not a factor in the judgement of the Com-
mittee it is interesting to note that the hats offered by Moss Bros
are also the cheapest.
