MARATHON
MEN
WITHIN two weeks of each other, the two top RAOC (BAOR)
distance runners. Stall" Sergeant Pete Marsh of ICP Vierseu
and Sergeant Colin Whittington of AMIS, Headquarters BAOR
both turned in army standard marathon times. The first was
by Staff Sergeant Pele Marsh when he won the Moenchenglatf,

minutes. This feat was made more incredible because his train-
ing was curtailed for the previous seven weeks due to injury. Thi g

RAOC WALL PLAQUES
AN improved version of the RAOC' Shield will be available
from the Secretariat towards the end of September. It will
comprise a centre metal crest with metal scroll (Royal Army
Ordnance Corps) mounted on a polished teakwood base back-
ing (size seven inch by six inch)- This is a particularly good
looking shield which, including postage, will retail at about
£4.50. A firm price will be given after receipt of the consign-
ment
