THE
RAOC
ANNUAL
ASSOCIATION
REUNION
THE 1978 RAOC Association Annual Reunion was held on the
22nd and 23rd April at COD Bicester-
The week-end started with a brief but comprehensive Annual
General Meeting, held prior to the Annual Dinner; an excel-
lent meal followed by both interesting and entertaining speeches
from the President of the Association, Major General John
Stanyer and the principal guest, Councillor John Holies the
Town Mayor of Bicester and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Oxford-
shire.

After breakfast a tour of the Depot was followed by the
Church Service—in St George's Chapel, appropriately on St
George's Day.
The weather remained fine for the March Past when the
salute was taken by the President.
Some two hundred and fifty members attended a truly
memorable occasion and the Association is most grateful to
Brigadier Page and his staff for both the superb organisation
and their warm hospitality.
The Guesfr of Honour, Councillor John Hollis the Mayor of
Bicester and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, speaks
after dinner.
After dinner, two of the 1977 RAOC Awards for Achieve-
ment were presented by General Stanyer, to Major A. J. Muston
and to Major T, M. King, for their contribution to the 1976
Army Everest Expedition; the RAOC Association Small Bore
Competition Shooting Trophies were also presented, to Major
Jennings, captain of the winning Shropshire Branch Team.
Members then adjourned to the Sergeants Mess,
Reveille on Sunday morning was sounded by a bugler of the
Corps Staff Band which had entertained members during dinner
the previous evening.

FINAL
THE final was held at SSD Dulmen between 3 BAPD and la£t
year's winners RAOC 4 Division, Although the pitch was very
wet and spongy, the sun shone and Dulmen, as always, organised
a smoothly run event
The game was, unfortunately, very much a one sided
affair with 3 BAPD running out the winners by a comfortable
four goals to nil. Private Ian Crouch with a hat-trick was
Bracht's winner with Major Roger Attrill adding the fourth
goal. Bracht dominated the game from midfteld with Sergeant
Kenny Finch APTC showing some fine skill. However, Bracht's
strength was really their all round ability and they showed no
weakness at all. RAOC 4 Division did come into the game a
little towards the end but only when Bracht eased off after they
had established a four nil lead. Sergeant Duncan Leitch as
usual was everywhere urging on his team but he was alone when
it came to matching his side's skill with the all round ability
of 3 BAPD.
Brigadier Crawley, DOS BAOR, presented the trophies to
3 BAPD. He congratulated both teams, the referee Staff Sergeant
P. G. Smith RMP and his linesmen, W02 P. Ryan RAOC and
Corporal L. M. Berger RAOC, for a hard fought but well run
final.
