Private Derek Holmes has our best wishes on leaving the
service and we hope that Corporal Dick Ockwell will be faring
well on his RPC1 Course also Corporal John Snowden on his
gliding course.
Staff Sergeant Brian Tomlin has joined us now in charge
of th: Volvo Section attached from 48 AMF(L) Company.
jjor John Rose expected a groan when his extension of

will be welcome to command us for as long as he likes.
A TEAM from the Unit successfully took
part in the RMP Chichester March- Our
team of Ordnance and Pioneer soldiers
completed the twenty five miles in good
order. Our regret though was that we did
not know about disco the night before—
we look forward to both events next
year. The Ord Marchers were Major
Ron Medley, Sergeant Geordie Mould and
Private Nick Avery from the Depot,

Our visitors list for last month was headed by the DGOS
who was pleased to present the Long Service and Good Conduct
Medal to Major Sid Pincher the OIC Services. Other visitors were
COO UKLF Brigadier Berresford and Colonel Volpe of the
Combat Development US Army Quartermaster School.
This month sees many arrivals and departures: Major Ron
Medley leaves the depot for studies at Manchester and we wel-
come Major Lawrence Wood. From the School W 2 Joe Kirk-
bride is off to Belize and Sergeant Fred Taylor has gone down
under on Exercise Long Look. In exchange we welcome Sergeant
Chris Tatchell RAAOC Welcome also to W02 Symonds and
Lingren. Farewell to Corporal Blakeledge and Privates Farnie
and Sinclair who leave the unit this month on posting.

Training Instructors a n d Sports Officers for a p p o i n t m e n t as
Sports Officer i n the rank of Chief Inspector in the Royal Oman
Police.
This is an expanding force o f over 4 . u n i f o r m e d
men and w o m e n w i t h similar number o f civilian employees.
The force possesses many sporting facilities including a 2 5 ,
seats stadium.
A p p l i c a n t must be n o t more t h a n 4 5 years,

was Lance Corporal Mark Igo RPC and Private Nick Avery came
