Transcription Pledges totalling DM4.400.00 (£1,100) have resulted from
the walk. Seven year old Cheryl Page, the daughter of Captain
Brian Page of the Dusseldorf Detachment, Accommodation
Services L*nit T Rhine Area, who organised the event, walked the
full distance and raised DM520.00 (£130) oE this sum. Cheryl
is a member of the 1st Dusseldorf Brownie Pack.

THE 1st Viersen Brownies have been making the headlines.
The annual Moenchengladbach District Brownie Revels meet-
ing took place recently with ' Cowboys and Indians * as this
years theme. The Viersen Brownies, who did all the work
themselves, with guidance from Mrs Babs Brocklebank and Mrs
Rena Robinson, took first place in the competition. The black
and white photograph does little justice to the girls' colourful

A WALK
IN
DUSSELDORF
A SPONSORED WALK, organised by Christ Church, Dusseldorf,
was held to raise money for the support of under-privileged
children in the Phillipines and in Paraguay.
Almost one hundred people participated in the walk, in-
cluding a large number of Guides, Brownies, Scouts and Cubs
from the Dusseldorf and Hubbelrath Companies. All except
five participants completed the full seventeen kilometres (eleven
miles) distance. The route was alongside the picturesque west
bank of the River Rhine, a ferry crossing from Langst and the
return leg to Christ Church past the Dusseldorf Rhine Stadium
and Messe (Exhibition Hall),

Arms Board on 26th June 1978, for the'grant of Special Regular

RAOC OFFICERS CLUB
DINNER 19T8
THE 1978 Officers Club Dinner will be held in the Head-
quarter RAOC Officers Mess Deepcut on Friday 13th
October. The dress is dinner jacket. Medals should
not be worn.
Drinks before and after dinner will be on a cash
basis only and bars will be open from 7 pm. Officers
should assemble at 7.30 pm for dinner at 8 pm. The
price of tickets is £6.50.
Applications, together with overnight accommodation
bids, should be made to the RAOC Secretariat in writing
and must be accompanied by a cheque made payable
to the ' RAOC Officers Club.*
As seating is limited to two hundred and fifty, and
to ensure a fair distribution, applications for the
advanced booking of tables cannot be accepted by tele-
phone. Where whole or part bookings of tables are
made, the application will be accepted as a firm book-
ing only when accompanied by the total sum involved
and the rank and name of all the Officers concerned.
Tables seat up to ten persons.
Transport for members of the Officers Club travel-
ling to Deepcut by rail will meet the trains arriving at
Brookwood Station from Waterloo at 18.21, 18.51 and
19.21 hours.
Transport for those returning by train to Waterloo
will leave the Officers Mess promptly at 22.30 for the
22.50 train, and at 23.00 for the 23.20 train.
