TRAVERS CLARKE ATHLETICS 1978 THE 47th Annual Meeting of the Travers Clarke Athletics was held at the Military Stadium, Queens Avenue, Aldershot Entries, although down on last year, consisted of ten teams from RAOC Units throughout the UK and some sixty in- dividuals, all eager to compete for the superb collection of trophies dating back to the early twenties. The team trophies were originally presented by Lieutenant General Sir Travers Clarke, who was Quarter-Master-General from 1919 to 1923 and was very closely associated with our Corps. The meeting resulted in a close finish with three Units being possible overall winners until the final stages.
