fit** ^25? een at tfie ©fftcersS Club Annual inner THE 1978 Officers Club Dinner was again held in the Head- quarters Mess at Deepcut. One hundred and ninety members attended, a rather disappointing number for what is always a most enjoyable evening and one which, over the years, has lost nothing—indeed in the view of many has gained, from its move from the old traditional venue at the Savoy. In an entertaining and amusing after dinner speech the Representative Colonel Commandant, Major General Stanyer, reviewed the years events. There was much of interest to cover, 1978 this year of Jubilee, being of particular significance to the Corps. As usual there were many friends to meet and old acquain- tances to renew, [t was both pleasant and interesting to meet Brigadier General Leclerc of the Canadian Forces, at present at AFCENT, at the Dinner, Quite some years ago he was an RCOC exchange Instructor at the School of Ordnance and no doubt had much reminiscing to catch up on, The Dinner, in the pleasant surroundings of Headquarters Mess is a most enjoyable annual event representing very good value indeed in these cost conscious times. Next year it will be held on the 12th of October—again at Deepcut—put it in your diary now.
