The Second-in-Command Captain Bryon Harness has
managed to wangle a six months detachment to 3 Armoured
Division as DADOS Combat Supplies. We believe he's being
* crowned' in the process.

stairs, but we do not know what Penny
(our POL clerk) thinks because, by the
time she has got her breath back, it is time to go home.
As well as the offices moving up, Ken Dodd and John Hall
have also moved up a rank to Staff Sergeant, our congratulations
to them.
All is quiet in the Headquarters at the moment as every-
one is out on Exercise Full House, but all will be back to
normal next week when once again the corridor will ring with
the familiar bark of the DOWO.
80 SUPPLY DEPOT
RECENTLY we have been very busy supporting various major
exercises. No sooner had we got the 5th Field Force Exercise
1
Gryphon's Galore' out of the way than we were straight into
' Full House * a 4th Armoured Division Exercise.
In October we welcomed the CRAOC, Lieutenant Colonel
Mike Robinson, and the Adjutant, Captain Charlie White, of
Headquarters RAOC 4th Armoured Division who came to
carry out our Annual Technical Visit. During the visit CRAOC
kindly presented Long Service and Good Conduct Medals to
W02 Dave Cartwright, Sergeants Dennis Endean and Torn
Rood. The occasion was celebrated in true style with cham-
pagne produced by the CRAOC and afterwards we all sat down
to a buffet lunch. We were very pleased that Mrs Rood and
boys were able to be present,
Corporal Mick Bishop our Administration Clerk continued
to hog the headlines to the very end, being admitted to the
BMH for an operation to his other leg, two weeks prior to his
posting to Northern Ireland, Conveniently his farewell party
was held in the BMH Amenities Centre and he made it as
promised, albeit in a wheel chair. He was released just in
time to set off with family for Northern Ireland where they
carry all our best wishes.

seemed to work and the much travelled SIMMO was on the
move again. There were rumours that attempts would be made
to bring it on to the computer so that older stocks could be
rested—a sort of reverse surveillance programme—but these have
been discounted. 43 RP Company had a close encounter of the
third kind when a succession of Harriers, F4s and F5s paid a
visit, A quick phone call elicited from the RAF 'Oh, well,
there's a holding area nearby.' We're not fooled by that, they
simply wanted to see the post-impressionist camouflage scheme.
Our ad hoc transport troop performed sterling service in their
aged ten-tonners and all references to ' F Troop* are to be
ignored. However, eyebrows were raised (unjustly) when an
