RIDGEWAY, OBE (Retd.). (Bbituavitg Treasurer: COLONEL S. B. ROGERS (Retd.). COLONEL W. D. (BILL) MORRIS THE sad news of the sudden death of Colonel W. D. (Bill) Morris on the 4th June came as a great shock to his many friends. Those of us who had the pleasure and benefit of his friendship will remember him for his enthusiasm, unselfishness and sense of humour. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Bill in helping others. He served in the Corps throughout the war and was with both the Marine Commando and Airborne Forces. His red beret was one of his most cherished possessions. After the war he devoted much time to the Territorial Army and Volunteer Reserve, in which he held the rank of Colonel, and up to the time of his death was most active in support of various charities, in particular the Army Benevolent Fund. His loss will be felt by all who knew him. We offer our deepest sympathy to his wife Mair on her great loss. S. G. S. * * * SERGEANT D. BURT MAJOR M. A. W. STEWART writes: — Sergeant Douglas Burt died suddenly at Catterick on 24th May 1983, at the early age of thirty eight years. He will be sadly missed by all his friends at Catterick and throughout the Corps. We offer our deepest sympathy to Isabel his widow and children Dawn and Kevin. — 92 SUBSCRIPTION RATES—HOME AND ABROAD. 60p per copy, or £7.20 per annum, post free.
