T H E Summer Term Passing Out Parade of the Apprentices
College was the final parade for the staff and Apprentices of the
Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. A total of eighteen
R E M E Apprentices left the College to commence training as
Clerks, Storemen o r Electricians with R E M E . T h e six remaining
members of staff formed a Colour Party which led the term
leavers past the Reviewing Officer, Major General Whalley and
off the square for the last time. T h e six R E M E members of the
staff were Major T. I. Bunyard, Lieutenant D . Haynes, Staff
Sergeant Burns, Sergeant Maguire, Corporal Ryan and Lance
Corporal Richards.

the Corps.

These must be submitted in the form in which it is desired
that they shall be published. Charges: £2.50 for the first five lines or
under, and 30p per line subsequently.
Charges must be pre-paid.
Box numbers will be allotted if asked for.

The DCOS speaks to one of the last REME Apprentices to leave
the RAOC Apprentices College—A/Private Naylor.
Major Bunyard said on leaving:—The departure of REME
ends a long and happy association.
