MIND THAT BIKE Casualty simulation—preparation. The incidents played are similar to those that have happened in GB. Each incident area, although derelict, is made as realistic as possible with carpets/furniture etc to give the ' lived i n ' look. The incident area comprises a Police and Military umpire and relevant witnesses/terrorists. (RPC have proved to be excellent in role play.) The Police performance is assessed by the Police Umpire and the EOD team by the Military Umpire provided by 11 Ord Bn (EOD). This method is well tried and trusted enabling both the Police and Military to provide the best service available to the public on a bomb incident, whether it be in Manchester, Liverpool or a remote village in the Highlands of Scotland. THE EDITOR welcomes new contributors, it is your Journal so why not contribute to it? Articles on any subject will be welcomed: sport, adventure, work, experience, humour, fiction—even fantasy. While articles of any length will be considered, the ideal is in the region of two thousand words. Scripts should be double-spaced type written, though manuscript will be accepted. Pictures should preferably, be black and white but colour prints will do—some slight loss of quality occurs. Why not use THE GAZETTE if you have previously written for publication, why not try your hand if you have not. — 21 . . . . ah well . . . . back to the drawing board!
