OPERATION TOSCA (CYPRUS)
Operation TOSCA is the name given to the British contribution to the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in
Cyprus (UNFICYP). In October 2009 the Regiment deployed a troop to Cyprus. This was a nine-month United
Nations peacekeeping tour in the interest of preserving international peace and security in the country. The soldiers
deployed alongside their paired Regular Army Regiment 27 Regt RLC. Many of the volunteers stayed on for a second
tour of duty.
