ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS When we were asked by the curator of the Museum of Army Transport, Beverley to compile a book to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the forming of the Wagoners Special Reserve, we found many people who were very willing to share their treasured photographs, memories and time. So we say sincere thanks to the following: The Sykes family Sledmere, Col. W. Norfolk for use of his articles on the Wagoners, Mr J. Brant, Mr E. Davison, Mrs Hagues, Mr G. Hanwell, Mrs M. Leach, Mr R. S. Leach, Mrs D. Loty, Major J. A. Robins, Mrs N. Ward. A very special thanks goes to Mr Alf Arnold R.A.S.C./R.C.T. Association for his unselfish vigour and enthusiasm in tracking down material, without his help we would not have been able to cover many aspects of the book. Finally we vSay thanks also to all those who sent in photographs, paperwork etc. which unfortunately space did not allow for, perhaps it could be used in a further work on the Wagoners.
