HARNESS , MAN , TWO - TRACE TYPE TO ADJUST HARNESS ( SEE FIG . 1. ) 1. Place harness on ground US up . 2. Arrange and cross suspenders 3 " above adjusting buckles - buckles down . 3. With both hands , grasp sus penders where they cross . 4. Raise harness to height of eyes . 5. Place elbows in left and right elbow areas , and head in head area . 6. Bring hands to back of head - release hands . 7. Adjust suspenders so that hip band will pull over the hip - bones well below the waist . ( SEE FIG . 2. ) -D RING TRACE TOGGLE CAUTION Do not tow load with hip band above hips or be low crotch . Improper wearing of harness will re strict breathing or walking . TO INSTALL TRACES ONE MAN TOW ( SEE FIG . 2. ) TWO OR MORE TOWMEN ( SEE FIG . 3. ) AREA . LEFT ELBOW FIG . 2 a . Obtain and fasten two lines approximately 3 feet long to sled or object to be towed . b . Tie 4 " bow line on free ends of these two lines . c . Insert trace toggles through bowlines of the two lines . d . Insert harness toggles through trace loops . HEAD AREA SUSPENDERS ADJUSTING BUCKLES . US THIP BAND AREA RIGHT ELBOW a . Each man inserts his trace toggles through trace loops of the man behind him , his harness tog gles through his own trace loops and so on for each additional man .
