At a recent meeting the Portsmouth City Council agreed to present the RAOC with a reciproval gift of silver to commemorate the 40 years association . Curator RAOC Museum THE WAR OFFICE Northumberland House , Northumberland Avenue , London W.C.2 Telephone : Whitehall 9400 , ext . 1066 The gift will be a solid silver twin cigarette box suitably inscribed together with the insignia of the Corps and of Portsmouth . The inscription will be : 4 / t . 1921 - 1961 Presented to the Royal Army Ordnance Corps in recognition of the Corps long and happy association with Portsmouth and its citizens . mor The DOS will receive the gift from the Lord Mayor on behalf of the Corps at a ceremony to be held at the Guildhall , Portsmouth on 12th March , 1963.
