A bad part of the El Obeid - El Fasha Road (400 miles) regularly used by S[udan] D[efence] F[orce] vehicles. A surface was obtained by continuous running in the sand tracks and laying 'durra' stalks. From a series showing 'Move of No 5 Company RASC to Palestine' in the Egyptian and Palestine Emergency, found with those of 'A' section in file NNA/0479, mounted in the same fashion, but bearing accession numbers.
