Enclosed , as discussed on the telephone today a photograph circa . 1947 which was of the service men of 247 Water Borne Company R.A.S.C Venice , Italy . Our duties , as I recall were not very strenuous , the Area 86 , was in the process of closing down so I think the date of the photograph is late September 1947 . & Panine 26th July , 2007 . Venice where we were based was I can assure you , a wonderful place to be and I have been back on many visits over the years and I have found many of our former haunts .
