Lieut Colonel W. H. J. Gillow , MBE , RAOC ( Retd ) 1 Sep 66 A short note to say thank you for the very thorough job you did in naming the people in the photograph of the Weedon Depot staff in the time of Colonel C.F.T.Haigh . ( A315 ) Photographs of groups without the names are not really of much use to the person carrying out research in years to come ; it is the names that count . Many of the photo's I have here , especially those of the South Africa War years , have no names and in consequence are of little use . It was good to have news of Weedon right bang up to date and on Saturday when I meet Major Cousins , Major Goodall and others who know Weedon , I'll have some thing to tell them . Thank you once again , I hope to write to you should I have other queries eoneerning the depot and its staffs . Best wishes to you and yours , words Mr.G. Cook , Sutton Street , Flore . Northants . |
