TI Favo well " clear taimi 1 ) abou man of b 134 T : their batly w 186 April 1927 THE JOURNAL OF THE ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS . oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo0000 TERRITORIAL NEWS 47th ( 2nd London ) Divisional Train . As news of general interest from a T.A. Unit comes more in the form of a drip from a leaking roof , instead of in a steady flow , it is scarcely possible to rush into print month by month . However , the jolly round of dances , billiard tourna ments , rifle shoots , paymaster's observations , and falls in the riding school , still goes on . We are now up to establishment in Officers and are in the happy position of having a waiting list . The H.T. and M.T. Companies are full , and only eight supply personnel are lacking in the entire Unit . This is a very satisfactory state of affairs , and we are undoubtedly flourishing like a green bay tree , des pite abolitions in bounty and other more minor pin pricks . E 1 Unfortunately the Field Ambulance will be training at Shorncliffe in September , and we will accordingly be DOC without our H.T. Drivers , attached to the Ambula during our stay at Canterbury . It is proposed to hold an Administrative Exercise Officers at St. Albans in May , together with Officers of the 44th ( H.C. ) Divisional Train , and Macleod has kindly promised to attend and direct . The process of hibernation , " which manifests it in Territorial Army Units during the winter months , exercised a restraining influence upon us , as far news for the Corps Journal is concerned , but , while believe the Editor has every reason to be grateful , are now emerging from our seclusion ( with apolo to the Compositor ) . 66 We have however , little of interest to record . Our Monthly Dances have been carrying on usual , and have been well attended . On March the 18th , we held the Annual Regime Dance in the Drill Hall , and spent a very enjoy evening . Dancing commenced at 7.30 and contin until 2 a.m. , and it was generally agreed that the has never held a more successful function , and a he vote of thanks is due to all who worked untiring ! contribute to the enjoyment of the evening . A particularly pleasant feature was the presenc many old members of the Train , and we were par |
