506 Company, RASC, photograph, taken at Sevenoaks. Accompanying letter states that the Commanding Officer was Major Moulder (pictured centre), with the Supplies Officer Captain E.H. Long seated next to him, wearing glasses. The letter was written by a former driver in the Company, J.C. Williams, who left the unit in November 1941 for Pre-Officer Training Cadet Unit. After being commissioned he joined the 44th Division Composite Company under Major Eden, and was then later posted to 105 Bridge Company. Williams states that within 506 Company a number of the non-commissioned officers were originally from the Territorial Army.
