As reported in the RAOC Gazette (Jan 1993, p. 429) "On the final day of the RSM's handover all the permanent staff were invited to the Corporals Mess for drinks and a curry lunch, where the RSM said his final farewells. The RSM was escorted off camp by various forms of transport."
